"United With Hope"
Nancy Millar has been passionately working for years on Operation Christmas Child with her family and has shipped well over 3,000 boxes. Through this program Nancy has met a few incredible individuals and built some strong relationships overseas.
United With Hope was born in the summer of 2009 to serve as an extended hand for these people to support their charity work.
Durga Annamani (children's home in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh)
Pastor M. Jayaraju Francis (PEACE, Andhra Pradesh)
Mathias Mwitha (MUYI, Mzuzu)
In the early morning of August 24th, 2010, Nancy lost her bed-ridden brother Marcus Uscher, 58, her husband Thomas (Jerry) Millar, 55, and her mother Irene Wiggle, 89, in a house fire.
Nancy is the sole survivor of this horrific tragedy. In spite of what has befallen her Nancy remains focused on helping others in need.
"United With Hope has been my life preserver. After the loss of my family I thought that life was over for me as well. How could I go on without those who loved and supported me the most? How could life be so cruel? How could God allow this tragedy to happen? Why was I left alone? I had to do some deep soul searching and come to terms with how I am to spend the rest of my life. I already knew I had a group of wonderful international friends. It is these sponsors and friends who very quickly showed me that I can not give up on our dreams. My family continues to live in the hearts of those who loved them and in my heart. They are with me forever and will watch over me as I make the next journey of my life." - Nancy

"As somewhat of a veteran of sponsorship I can say that not all organisations are as good as you are.
Your programmes are personal and involving and I would say you are one of the best sponsorship groups currently available."
~ Lynn, sponsor as of 2009
